Atsushi Hara wins the 2006 Buggy Thailand Party!

Hara wins Buggy Party at Thailand
RC superstar, Atsushi Hara of Japan, has been proving that he is pretty gifted when it comes to controlling all RC cars, not just Electric circuit cars, having followed up his open final placing at the recent Japanese 1/8th off road Nationals, by TQ’ing and winning the 2006 Buggy Party Final held in Thailand. In the end it was easy for the Hot Bodies racer who took the win in the hour long final by over 5 laps ahead of 2nd placed local racer Yuthana D. driving a HoBao. Fellow Thai racer Charlee was 3rd for Mugen, 2 laps further back.

HPI Wheelie King

WK In the box
OK this is not the latest news. It already been published elsewhere earlier. i think around 3rd November. But it just Like The Real Thing!

The Wheelie King is great for the show-and-go crowd - fat chrome wheels hold 5.4" all-terrain Mud Thrasher monster truck tires, and the Twin Vertical Plate (TVP) chassis features a super cool chrome-plated tube design that looks just like the real monster trucks you've enjoyed watching! The front and rear solid axles feature pivot joints and a realistic multi-link monster truck suspension for easy driving and control, plus the ultimate scale look! Topping off the Wheely King is a painted and trimmed monster truck body, mounted on adjustable body mounts that allow you to fit all kinds of fun and exciting bodies. It all adds up to a great kit and hours of enjoyment!

Here the video from HPI. You need Quicktime or something to play it.

2007 Offroad Southamerican Championship 1/8th Buggy (CHILE - Southamerica)

source: rctech forum

Let me quote from Tabushi(rctech) about this race event.

The rc club where this track its located its a big RC facility with onroad track (1/10 nitro and electric sedan), rc airplanes, artificial lagoon for rc boat and yatching, U-Control circle, sailplane spot and rc heli special spot.

The offroad track, behind the drivers tower, have permanent tables for 35 pilots (the club have about 20 prmanent offroad drivers), each table with 3 x 220v entries (in my country, 220v its the standard) and a permanent air compressor ...

In this track will be held the southamerican championship with pilots from argentina, brazil, chile of course, venezuela, uruguay, peru, colombia, mexico and couple of drivers from USA, Dominican Republic and Italia so the club will put i think 3 more air compressors and plastic tables and chairs + covering for all the people we hope to have in March 22th to 25th 2007.

The official website of the southamerican event its http://sud2007.atspace.com

If anyone is interested on knowing a little more about this european-style living country of southamerica (best economy in southamerica for the last years) ... you can visit : http://www.answers.com/topic/santiago-chile

Jammin /Hong Nor New Pillow Ball upgrade

This is supposed to be old story.. old as on 29 Nov :)
Here i quoted by Jerseyboy from rctech.
For the Jammin riders who wants to know whats next for the X1. Here is the latest upgrade. Wether its good or not I cant say yet. I suppose it must be if its an upgrade. There is no reason to move from the X1 to any other. Its all available. If you like the pillowball suspension. Its here. Enjoy!!

Just found out that this part shared with the DM-1! Interesting eh? Quoted from Jerseyboy again.

Thats right. It seems the DM-1 is a X1 based onroad car. Many of the parts will be interchangeable.
I like that. Ithink I will get me a DM-1. Ilike it when I can interchange parts. So when you stock up its for all your cars. CR,CRT and DM-1
